I intent to use 2021 not to read contemporary books. Meaning, anything written in the 21st Century is banned and anything between 1975 and 1999 needs to be an absolute masterpiece -either because of the quality or the influence at that time- to be taken into account (so far, only seven readings are over that threshold).

My selection is a mix of St. John's College Great Book Curriculum and Oxford's PPE degree, plus relevant inputs from six other people I asked for help. The target amount of readings for the year is 150 (books, essays, papers, etc.). Seems impossible to accomplish but let's be ambitious in our personal OKRs.

In the list below you can find the stuff I looked for. I read some in the past (41) but I will try to re-read them to test if my teenage taste has evolved in some way.

If you want to join the challenge and/or suggest any book, please, let me know on Twitter. I will also publish some stuff on my Substack.
