In Venetian-ruled Corfu, fugitives and outlaws could seek refuge in a count's mansion. Those who committed lesser crimes served the count, while serious offenders were imprisoned in Sagrado, where they met their end.
Sagrado is rumored to be a dark underground space, unreachable by sunlight. It instills fear, blurring the line between reality and fantasy, allowing various theories to thrive.
You can't recall your origin, but you're not alone. As you are detained, you compete fiercely, with only one able to escape. As you journey through Sagrado, you find it larger and more unpredictable than expected, filled with traps, treasures, and the sinister Moroi.
The game’s inspiration was mostly the Rogue-Like videogames. I was also influenced by boardgames like Carcassonne: The Castles of Mystras, Dragboken, DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) and The Keeyp.
It is refered to kids, teenagers and adults of all ages, including fans of Rougue-likes and RPG Board Games. The game is based on luck, but it’s also demanding stratigic minds. The number of Players is 2-4.
The Goal is to explore the underground chambers of Sagrado and fight with your fellow players. Whoever manages to obtain the Key and escape from the Trap-Door first, or whoever remains the last one standing, wins.
A Game of Sagrado: The Escape can take about 20-30 minutes or even less, but because of the element of randomness, each Game can take as long as it has to.
