Welcome information Session
The UGent International Office will welcome newly arriving students on Thursday February 9.
Students will be able to choose a time slot to attend the General information session and to have a coffee with us.
What to expect?
- Information session (about 30 minutes).
- International Support Team Café: have a coffee or another refreshment, have a chat with us and get some more information, get your hands on our totebag with freebies.
- After the information session, you have the opportunity to meet these partners: the University Language Center (UCT), the students of “Talk it out”, Student Counselling Office, Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and International Konvent, Helan (Belgian health care fund), the UGent Housing Office, the UGent shop (hoodies and sweaters!).
Lyca Mobile will also be present and they offer all international students a Belgian SIM card with a 5€ on it. They will also assist you installing the SIM card.
Faculty Welcome Sessions
On Friday February 10, the faculties will welcome the spring semester students.

If you can't make it to our Welcome Days, you are welcome in the International Support Team’s office to pick up the welcome bag.
The presentation of the information session will be put online as well where you will find all practical information.
