We’ve built core functionality that helps you level up your winemaking game and get work done. And, we’re actively expanding vessel location functionality to make it easier to update - regardless of where you might be in your winery.
How do you describe locations within your winery? You may have different buildings, such as a cellar or warehouse, where wine is stored. And within those buildings, you may have more detailed locations (Your warehouse may contain 100 racks, with each rack being 4 levels tall and 10 barrels deep). Or, maybe you describe locations more generally (you know a barrel is by the north wall of the cellar, but don't need its exact position).

If you track specific vessel position (ex: Rack 1, Position 5, Level 2), you'll want to set that first:
You can't use the same term to describe more than one dimension (that would be confusing!). The system defaults to Aisle, Rack and Position, but you can make changes at any time.
These terms will be used when you are setting location on each vessel.
Select terms to describe vessel positions
Now you'll want to create locations and areas where vessels live.
Vessel Locations are the spaces that contain your vessels. You may consider your entire cellar a vessel location. Or, maybe you define the east side of the cellar as one vessel location, and the west side as another. The smallest 'group' of vessels is a vessel location.
Areas and sub-areas are different (and entirely optional) - they contain vessel locations. For example, you may create an Area named Cellar, in which you have two vessel locations (Cellar - East and Cellar - West)
You get to build the location hierarchy so that it works for your winery. Get as granular or high-level as you'd like!
