About the HBOT Token

HBOT is a governance token that lets holders direct how the Hummingbot codebase is maintained through voting on proposals and regular polls that decide:

• Which exchanges and strategies should be included in the codebase
• How the Foundation’s engineering bandwidth and community developer bounties should be allocated among the various components in the codebase
• Annual elections of the Foundation Board of Directors

Getting Started

First, make sure that you have the following 3 addresses:

• Vesting Contract Address: The address of your unique TokenVesting smart contract (see below).
• Beneficiary Wallet Address: The beneficiary wallet address enscribed in the Vesting Contract. The release function in the Vesting Contract can only release tokens to this address.
• HBOT Token Address: The address of the HBOT token on Ethereum Mainnet: 0xE5097D9baeAFB89f9bcB78C9290d545dB5f9e9CB

Finding your Vesting Contract Address

Each locked HBOT holder has a unique TokenVesting contract that hold their tokens. Only the beneficiary wallet listed in the contract can release the tokens inside it, per the vesting schedule.
