2026 - if I keep my rhythm, I think I will reach my goal of 50 books, maybe even surprass it

I watched PBB’s video with this same title, and she raised an important point - WHY do you want to read more?

and also, are those reasons for yourself… or for others? is it just to hit a higher goal count?

it’s a good idea to think about why you want to read more, because it can help you with motivation, by keeping your goals in mind

personally: …..

so before we get into the tips themselves, I wanna add a quick disclaimer, as I heard Leonie say recently in her Curiouser & Curiouser podcast - no advice is universal, the tips I’m gonna give you will not work for everyone, because everyone is different, and that’s okay, try to adapt them to you if you can, or just ignore them if they don’t work for you, doesn’t mean you’re the problem

reading goals can either motivate you or make you feel pressured, act accordingly to your personal feelings regarding it, do not compare yourself to others’ reading numbers

make time to read

revolutionary, I know

but genuinely, I see SO MANY posts every single day questioning people who read 100+ books a year saying “how can you possibly read that much” “you must not work/you must not have any other hobbies”, and while yes, we don’t all have the same 24 hours in the day, if you truly want to read more, you can’t just rely on free time, you have to MAKE time sometimes

like for example, if you have a lot of hobbies, but you want to read more, you need to reduce the amount of time you allocate to the other hobbies and use it to read instead

or I’m sure most of all could do with a few less daily hours of screentime

like right now! get off Youtube and go read! stop watching dozens of Booktube videos that inspire you to want to read and go actually do it! …is that just me?
