As we advised in our initial announcement, once your server is online you will need to access it via the IPMI console to update your network configuration. You can check the power status of your server directly from our DedicatedCP portal.

Getting Started

  1. Log in to https://dedicatedcp.com

<aside> 💡 If this is your first time logging in, you will need to use the Forgot Your Password? function

  2. On the Servers page https://dedicatedcp.com/hardware/server select the server ID

  3. Clicking the refresh button in the top right of the image shown below will refresh the power status. Once the Power Status shows On or Off you can proceed with powering the server and accessing the console.

  4. To access the console, you will need to have Java installed on your PC. Then you will use the Launch KVM button shown in the screenshot below.

You will not be able to access the console directly via the IPMI interface in your browser unless your server's BIOS is new enough to support the HTML5 IPMI console.

Connection Failed

If you select Launch KVM and get a connection failed error after attempting to open the console (see the screenshot below for an example), please reach out to our support team.

Updated Network Information

Upon accessing your server, please verify that you are seeing an active LAN connection and update the corresponding network interface's network configuration based on the details included in DedicatedCP on your server's information page.

This page includes all IP allocations associated with your server. Please carefully review this, as the Usable IPs, Gateway and Subnet Mask are different and required when updating your OS configuration.

How you configure your network will vary depending on the Operating System (OS) you are running. If you need assistance finding an updated resource or article, please reach out to our support team. Please note that we cannot update this setting for you as part of our included scope of support.
