The privacy of your data — and it is your data, not ours! — is a big deal to us. In this policy, we outline: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.
This policy applies to all products built and maintained by Honā Pte Ltd ("Honā").
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here’s what that means in practice:
When you sign up for our app, we typically need identifying information such as your email address and name. We may also ask questions about your industry and your goal-setting habits. To set a commitment in our app, you can choose to stake an amount. See below about Billing.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we typically need identifying information such as your name and email address. If you wish to stop receiving emails, there’s an unsubscribe button in every email.
When you set a commitment or subscribe to our service, and choose to stake money, you will need to select a payment option (eg Handcash, Stripe). See our sub-processor list for the privacy policies of each of these payment gateways.
Your payment details are passed directly to our payment processor and doesn't ever go through our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction, including the last 4 digits of the credit card number and billing address, so we can keep records of account history, invoicing, and billing support. We store your billing address to calculate any sales tax (depending on your country such as VAT, GST, etc), to detect fraudulent credit card transactions, and to print on your invoices.
When you browse our website pages, social media or online services, your browser automatically shares certain information (such as which operating system and browser version you are using). We track that information, along with the pages you are visiting, page load timing, and which website referred you, so we can get statistics such as conversion rates and to also test new designs. We sometimes track specific link clicks to help make design decisions. These web analytics data are tied to your IP address and your user account if applicable.
A cookie is a piece of text stored by your browser to help it remember your login information, site preferences, and more.
We do use some cookies to make it easier for you to use our applications, to store your preferences, and support analytics. You can adjust cookie retention settings in your own browser.
