Welcome to the Fall 2019 Comp

Welcome to the Fall 2019 comp for The Harvard International Review! We have four different boards (Editorial, Design, Business, Tech), **40 years of experience** (low-key impressive stuff), and one exciting and inclusive comp waiting for you! The Review is not only the nation’s oldest student-run international relations magazine, but it is also the college's only barcoded magazine sold on newsstands worldwide.

No prior experience required—our comp is educational and will guide you through all aspects of the magazine.

I'm still not sold ...

We've featured commentary by 43 Presidents and Prime Ministers, 4 Secretaries-General, 4 Nobel Economics Prize laureates, and 7 Nobel Peace Prize laureates. Our articles have been quoted and featured in magazines, newspapers, books, and web sites around the world, and they are required readings at universities from California to Taiwan.

Each issue is read on six continents by over 100,000 print and digital subscribers—officials, executives, lawyers, professions, and students.

Where else can you get the chance to be a part of something this big?

But, what about the Crimson ...

"The open-comp of the Harvard International Review is great example of a manageable and inviting process"

But, I'm pre-finance / pre-law / pre-$$$ ...

Last year alone, our staff secured full-time offers at coveted firms like Bridgewater Associates, Insight Venture Partners, and McKinsey & Company, gained admission to top graduate schools like Harvard Law School (JDP 😲), and earned accolades like a Rhodes Scholarship and Phi Beta Kappa. Our older alum are also pretty impressive.

What's the comp like ...

We offer a general comp for the first few weeks to help you understand the organization a little better, after which compers work on specific projects tailored to their interests. Your work, whether in editorial, design, tech, or business, will make its way into our Spring 2020 Issue.

You should anticipate attending 8 meetings and 8 social events to graduate the comp.

I don't buy it ...

Come see for yourself! We'll be at the Student Involvement Fair and will be hosting an information session shortly thereafter:
