Turnover & Safety Checks

Process Description	Standard cleaning procedure performed between every guest stay to prepare the cabin for the next arrival.
Purpose	Leave the cabin clean, fully stocked, and guest-ready — so that every guest arrives to the same high standard regardless of who cleaned it.
Scope	Full indoor clean covering bedding, kitchen, bathroom, all surfaces, and floors. Includes outdoor areas, safety checks, damage and pest inspection, and Guesty close-out.
Frequency	Performed after every guest checkout before the next check-in.
Material / Tools Needed	Cleaning supplies (cloths, sprays, gloves), fresh linen and towels, guest amenities, trash bags, vacuum, mop, Guesty app access.

Always follow the Guesty checklist — check off each task as you complete it. Do not rely on memory. The checklist is how we confirm the cabin was properly prepared.
Work in the correct order. The steps in this SOP are sequenced intentionally — clean to dirty, top to bottom, indoors before outdoors. Following the order prevents you from having to redo work.
Keep kitchen and bathroom cloths separate. Never use the same cloth in both areas. This prevents cross-contamination between food surfaces and toilet/drain areas.
Use non-abrasive products on glass and sensitive surfaces. Hard brushes or rough cloths will permanently scratch glass panels, mirrors, and appliance surfaces.
"What good looks like" is your quality standard. Each step includes a description of the finished result. Do not move on until the step meets that standard.
Report issues immediately — do not guess, do not fix. If you find damage, leaks, pests, or anything unusual, take a photo and report via the Damage & Maintenance Report Form before leaving.
Do not mark the task complete in Guesty until everything is finished. Marking complete signals to the property manager that the unit is ready for guests. Only mark it when the cabin is truly done.
