This Privacy Policy aims to clearly explain how we handle your information during your use of BeanFolio, including the collection, use, storage of information, and your rights.
1. What Information We Process and Why
BeanFolio is a purely local, offline application with no account system and no servers. All your data is stored directly on your personal device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not actively collect, upload, or store any information that can personally identify you. During your use of the App, the following information is processed strictly on your local device:
A. Camera and Photo Library Access
- Purpose: To allow you to take or select photos of coffee bean packaging to display in your coffee bean logs.
- Information Type: Images captured via your device's camera or selected from your photo library.
- Processing: Photos are stored exclusively within the local SwiftData database on your device. We do not upload your images to any external servers, nor do we perform any image analysis, behavioral tracking, or model training.
B. Notification Permission
- Purpose: To send you local reminder notifications when your coffee beans have finished their aging/resting period.
- Information Type: No personal information is involved; this is strictly a system-level local notification scheduling.
- Processing: Notifications are triggered entirely on your local device and do not go through any remote servers.
C. Local JSON Data Import
- Purpose: To allow you to import existing coffee data from a local file for data migration.
- Information Type: JSON-formatted data files provided voluntarily by you.
- Processing: The file is parsed locally on your device and written into the SwiftData database. No network transmission is involved at any point during this process.
