About GreyMatter

GreyMatter Capital is a venture capital firm dedicated to transforming the future of mental and brain health. We invest in founders at the earliest stages who are reimagining care delivery, developing breakthrough neuroscience, and building technology solutions that improve human well-being. Since launching our first fund in 2022, we’ve built a portfolio of bold, mission-driven startups across digital health, care delivery, neurotechnology, and youth mental health.

The GreyMatter Institute (GMI) is our systems transformation vehicle that extends our impact beyond investing. GMI works to shape the broader ecosystem through research, policy, convening, and cross-sector partnerships. We bring together leaders from academia, philanthropy, industry, and government to accelerate evidence-based solutions and create systemic change in mental health.

Together, GreyMatter Capital and GMI form a unique platform that backs innovation with capital while also influencing the policies and narratives that shape the field.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to step into the center of the mental and brain health ecosystem. As Chief of Staff (CoS), you will work directly with Andrew & Danish across both the fund and the Institute. You’ll have exposure to world-class founders, investors, policymakers, philanthropists, and thought leaders. You’ll see how deals get done, how nonprofits scale, and how a fund and an institute can operate in tandem to drive systemic change.

This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role requiring grit, urgency, and a mission-first mindset. The right candidate is hungry, thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces ambiguity, and is willing to make sacrifices in service of building something transformative. You’ll be instrumental in accelerating the journey of every founder we back and every relationship we cultivate.
