<aside> ⚠️ Phothoshop 22.4 is presenting problems with this type of Mockups. How to fix it?

1. Overview

3D layer-based Photoshop mockups are convenient when the scene presents very complex objects such as boxes and fabrics but especially for those curved or spherical ones such as balls, containers or magazines; to name a few.

These literally include a three-dimensional object that is overlaid on the scene and offers a canvas or texture where you must place your designs so that they are then perfectly projected on the surface of that object obtaining a photo-realistic result.

Some examples:

2. Customizing the mockup

A. Object and 3D Layer, B. 3D Texture

A. Object and 3D Layer, B. 3D Texture

  1. Select the layer of the 3D object. It is usually located in Resources / Mockup. (A)
  2. Click on the right end of the layer to display the options and effects, this will allow you to see the 3D textures of the object.
  3. Edit the 3D texture of Base Color by double clicking. (B)
  4. Add your design following the UV overlays guides, in some cases you could find a 2D blueprint inside that has the measurements of the object and will serve as a guide.
  5. If your design has a transparent background, add a solid background color for better results.
  6. Repeat the steps for the other 3D objects if there are others.
