Welcome to the Praise deployment guide! These pages describe the steps recommended for a successful community deployment of Praise. If you are looking for information about the technical setup, please see givepraise.xyz.

There is more to deploying Praise than just installing a Discord bot. Here we will walk you through what we call the “cultural deployment” of readying the stakeholders and community, setting expectations, and setting up your community for the best possible experience using Praise.

Below you will find the 5-step process you can use to deploy Praise into a new community. While a typical Praise deployment takes a few weeks and is followed by a few months of cultural analysis, a group can also do the first 3 steps in a couple of days if prioritized.

Step 1 - Prepare stakeholders

The first step assembles stakeholders to open discussions about Praise and make decisions about how Praise will be deployed into the community. Here is where the Reward Team, the group that will manage Praise, quantification, and token distribution, will be formed.

Step 2 - Technical deployment

This is when you are ready to actually deploy Praise on Discord and configure the back-end server. Some of the configuration options will depend on decisions that were made in the previous step.

Step 3 - Prepare community

Praise is now live and the community should be informed about its goals, learn how to make the most of Praise, and get excited about dishing and receiving praise.

Step 4 - Praise Launch
