Strategy overview

Gitcoin Objective

Enable our Allo Protocol + Grants Stack system to easily support the distribution of allocated funds to the necessary projects. This is the final core component of the three abstract decision points in Allo Protocol:

  1. Who is eligible to receive funds
  2. How will the funds be allocated
  3. How will the allocated funds be distributed to recipients

Why is this important

In order for Gitcoin to have both a viable capital allocation protocol and a viable software solution for running grants programs, our tech stack must allow the pool of capital to be distributed. Enabling this crucial interaction will allow grants rounds to run end-to-end on both Allo Protocol and Grants Stack. Further, we believe that this is the most viable area of the protocol to place a fee switch, which will give GitcoinDAO the option of earning revenue from Allo as its usage grows.
