About getpacked

getpacked is a SaaS operating system for food and grocery producers and merchants. We want everyone to have simple access to healthy, high-quality food and groceries with a sustainable footprint. We believe this can only be achieved by enabling small, independent stores to have a more efficient supply chain and access to online sales channels. With getpacked we are building the software tools to fulfil this mission.

About the job

We are looking for a full-stack product engineer to extend our technical team. Your job will affect the full breadth of our current product portfolio, having a direct impact on the way customers use our software every day.

You will work in a team of four, together with one other full-time full-stack developer, and two members of the founding team. The team is continually growing.

We work distributed / remote-first, with the option to work from our office space available in Germany in Cologne and Groß-Umstadt.

Start possible around April / May 2021, earlier tbd**.**

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled all-rounder to bring his or her experience to the team. We care less about formal credentials and more about a proven track record. This can consist of projects you previously worked on in a job, on personal or open-source projects.

Getpacked is built as a full-stack TypeScript web app, based on Next.js (React) in the frontend and node.js functions in the backend. We currently build on the Firebase (Google Cloud) platform, our frontend runs on Vercel, meaning the technology is fully serverless and auto-scaling. We are looking for someone with experience in this technology stack or the willingness to learn it fast.
