Today I want to share some animations of our main character Eta. Also introduce how we make all Eta's animation with free animation assets.

Free Humanoid Animation - Mixamo

Our game is still in very early stage, so before we lock down the animation requirement, we prefer use many free asset, IK tool and Tween animation to animate our character temporarily.

Mixamo is always my best friend, you can find massive number of animations in this site. Such as locomotion, climb, equip weapon and so on.

Beside of these basic animation, you can combine or reverse some animation to get what you want.

Here I break down and list what I do in every gif clip.

  1. Reverse of this Grab Torch From Wall animation as plugging animation
  2. Write a code to let Eta walk to target position for starting this plugging animation (If target position is behind of Eta, she walks backward)

  1. I cut off the end part of Dodging Back animation
