Making an offer

2. The apprenticeship offer

Our recommended apprentice starting salary is now £18,000, rising to £24,000 after the full-time training, with subsequent reviews at regular intervals.

3. The apprenticeship contract

After making an offer, the employer will need to prepare an apprenticeship contract, which differs a little from a standard contract of employment.

4. The apprenticeship agreement

The Education and Skills Funding Agency provides a template for the apprenticeship agreement, which both the apprentice and employer should sign.

Funding the apprenticeship training

5. Registering with the apprenticeship service

After making an apprenticeship offer, you will need to register with the apprenticeship service (if you haven't already), add us as a training provider, and reserve funding for the training.
