Core Dev Org

Purpose: The aim of this Org is to support and fund the core development teams of Radicle. This group will replace the role of the Foundation Council in coordinating the work of Radicle’s Core Teams.

Type of Governance: (one or other or both?)

On-chain

• Funding decisions: Multi-sig (on-chain)?

“Off-chain” (mix of off-chain consensus & non-tokenized badges (w/ or w/o weighted?))

• Internal decisions: on-chain governance capabilities?

Types of Core Dev Org Actions / Functions:

• “Membership”: Creation of new Core Teams & org-wide roles, (& Prototyping? aka working groups?)
• Internal Governance/Decision Process: How internal proposals will be decided
• Funding Decision Making: Funding or defunding of Radicle core development teams
• Budget Management: Org Budget Management, Prioritization of funding proposals
• Cross-team Coordination: Team Health Checks, Core Dev Monthly Calls, Offsites, Knowledge/information sharing
• Org Leadership: Who sits at the Org level and how this is decided
• Technical Development: Changes to Radicle products/protocol?
