🌱 What is Radicle?
Radicle is an open-source, community-led, and self-sustaining network for software collaboration. It enables developers to securely collaborate on software over a peer-to-peer network built on Git. With its Ethereum integration, Radicle enables global ENS-compatible names, decentralized organizations, and funding protocols that help maintainers sustain their open-source work.
👀 What are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Community & Events Manager to support the Radicle ecosystem. We’d like support in maintaining community channels, supporting project-wide cooordination, and support planning virtual & in-person events. Experience with DAOs/open-source communities preferred and event management (in-person & online) is a major plus!
🤝 What you’ll be doing
Your focus will be on helping us build a thriving community of users & contributors. You’ll work with our Community, Growth, and Marketing teams to make sure our community is engaged, supported, and heard as we develop Radicle as a DAO-funded free & open source project.
- Lead community development strategy to cultivate a meaningful, engaged, and growing network of contributors & users. Also, collaborate with teams to keep them engaged with the community.
- Coordinate & run events for the Radicle community, including Discord hangouts, meetups, hackathons, contributor offsites, and anything in between (virtual & in-person)
- Manage event sponsorships and hackathon strategies (specifically in the Ethereum ecosystem!). Ideally, attend any in-person events as well!
- Work with Community & Governance team to organize longer-term initiatives for community, including offsites, community spaces, etc..
- Cultivate community 𝓿𝓲𝓫𝓮𝓼
✅ Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in marketing/communications/event planning in the software industry. Experience in the Ethereum ecosystem is a +++
- A general understanding of the way “internet communities” form around social platforms like Discord, Twitter, and Discord. Previous or active participation in a DAO is a +++
- Great communication skills and 𝓿𝓲𝓫𝓮𝓼
- Able to manage event planning and organization from start to finish, including logistics, communications, venue sourcing, scheduling, budget, etc.
- Great organizational skills and ability to coordinate community initiatives within a distributed ecosystem
- Conduct pre-event briefs, post-event reports, including but not limited to attendee surveys, analytics, and lessons learned
