To unlock the podium and activate the presentation technology:

<aside> ⏰ Note: once you start the podium, the podium drawer (with the microphone and clicker) will remain unlocked for 2 minutes. To unlock the podium drawer once again, just press unlock from the fleXlab app on the Mac.

<aside> ⚠️ If the drawer doesn’t release immediately, DO NOT PULL IT (this will damage the lock and cause the drawer to get stuck). Gently press it in and then gently pull it out.

➡ Step 2: Select a projector source

After you power on the podium, it goes through an automatic startup sequence and switches to the built-in computer. Many instructors will not need / want to do anything further now,

By default, the podium will switch to the Mac and present that image on the screen. You can override this and select 1) Apple TV (for students to wirelessly share their screens), 2) your laptop (you must use the USB C cable provided), or 3) nothing / ‘lecture mode’.

<aside> 💡 Pro tip: lecture mode retracts the screen and mutes the projector for 60 minutes after you have selected it. If you require more time, simply press lecture mode again to extend your time. After 60 minutes the podium turns itself off.

Step 3: Set up your microphone/s

All fleXlabs are equipped with one (1) presenter and one (1) audience microphone for you to use as you see fit. Depending on the lab, it will either be a Catchbox or a Rode microphone set up. Please ensure that you follow the correct setup instructions for your hardware.
