Guideline Owner: Coronavirus Response Team

At Five Good Friends, we work with members of our community who are most at risk of ill-health from COVID-19. We are committed to providing a safe work environment for all of our workers. As a values-based provider, we do our best to provide continuity of services to our Members within this commitment. These guidelines state our clear position on when not to come to work, and then return to work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attending work is defined as any FGF related activity outside of your home, e.g. visits to Members or work locations such as the North Quay head office.

When you cannot come to work

A FGF worker cannot come to work and must notify Five Good Friends if:

  1. You have a positive COVID-19 test.
  2. You have COVID-19 symptoms.
  3. You are waiting for a COVID-19 test result.
  4. You are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case.
  5. You have been overseas in the previous 14 days unless you are fully vaccinated, have a negative RAT within 24 hours of arrival, and FGF has approved you to work with appropriate risk controls.
  6. A public health direction is in place for mandated vaccination and you do not have the level of vaccination required or a valid medical exemption.
  7. You have received a further direction to isolate under Public Health Orders in your state.

Returning to work

You are able to return to work when:
