EAT · WATCH · TALK
Basically? Screening Sunday is a potluck where a group of people come together to watch talks/shows and have semi-structured micro-discussions about said talks/shows.
With the exception of Screening Sunday #4, which is a gamified session, all Screening Sundays follow some variation of the following format:
1-OPENING CIRCLE Everyone sits in a circle and take turns introducing themselves + share why they are here and what food they brought!
2- WATCH VIDEOS Start to play the first round of videos. While videos are playing, everyone is free to drink and eat.
Stop after 2-3 videos
3- MICRO-DISCUSSION Split participants into small groups of 4-6 people. Set the timer for 20-25min and let them discuss the videos watched
Repeat steps 2-3 until all videos are finished.
4- CLOSING CIRCLE Gather in a circle again. Everyone takes turn to share their biggest take away. Thank everyone for coming!
Option to continue socializing over food.
Screening Sunday #1- TED2019 Session 2 [Power]
Screening Sunday #2- TED2019 Session 3 [Knowledge]
Screening Sunday #3- Finding common ground
Screening Sunday #4- Gaming the Real World
Gatherings = many people = many dietary requirements.
