With growing adoption across top conferences and programs, we're entering our next phase of scale—and looking for a sales leader to help drive it.
What You’ll Do
As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead Scout’s efforts to grow our footprint across Division I programs. You’ll own high-stakes relationships with athletic departments, conferences, and compliance stakeholders—closing deals, shaping our GTM strategy, and mentoring a small team. You’ll be expected to bring deep familiarity with the college athletics landscape and leverage your network to open doors and move deals forward.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales lifecycle from lead qualification to close across athletic departments and conferences.
- Build and nurture high-trust relationships with key decision-makers including ADs, CFOs, NIL liaisons, compliance leads, and coaches.
- Coach and manage junior sales reps and coordinate closely with CEO and partnerships team.
- Work with product and marketing to refine pitch strategy, sales materials, and pricing structures.
- Track progress in CRM and forecast with accuracy.
- Represent Scout at industry events, conference meetings, and on-campus sessions.
- Stay ahead of NIL, Alston, and institutional trends to position Scout as a must-have solution.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or services for public institutions.
- Direct experience working in or selling to college athletics is required. You’ve worked for an athletic department, conference, or NIL-related organization—or have sold to them and know the buyers, culture, and language.
- Proven ability to close multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior sales team members.
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment.
