Our goal is to collaboratively build the first pattern language for organizational design. Building since 2020, we have been collecting patterns and case studies in a database.
We are currently migrating the database from AirTable to Notion and will be launching the beta publicly in Q1 2024.
Either/Org Community Guidelines
After building the pattern language for a while, in 2021 we became interested in observing what patterns co-occur in organizational systems. What if we created a picture of one org’s design features and choices? What if we did that 100 times? Our hypothesis is that we will add significantly to the pattern language AND see how certain patterns tend to fit together.
We built the first prototype of sequencing experience (3 two hour meetings with organizational leaders) and piloted it with Wild Friends and Future Work Design. We mocked up a partial prototype of a sequencing report that excludes confidential information.
From the beginning of this project, one of the greatest things has been meeting other curious, brilliant people around the world who are passionate about this space. We have set up a few ways for this community to connect, but are open to new and better approaches.
