From horse show highlights and camp recaps to personal goals and big wins, this is my space to document the adventure, celebrate progress, and keep friends, family, and future coaches in the loop. Thanks for following along!
Show season 2025 has officially ended and here are some highlights from the year. So grateful to have had all these amazing opportunities to better my riding and confidence in the show pen with my two horses The Lazy Version aka Loper and Ima Big Deal aka Tripp. Loper is my 8-year-old gelding and has been my all-around show partner for the last three years. He and I have made some amazing memories in the ring and at home together. Tripp is my 4-year-old gelding who I have been working with in the all-around English events and very excited to see where he takes me in the future.
This year, I’ve had some incredible opportunities to ride in front of college coaches and trainers, gaining valuable feedback and seeing real progress in my riding. I started the year with two trail clinics with Kara Whitsell, followed by horsemanship, equitation, and showmanship lessons with Jenny and Robin Frid. I also participated in a clinic and took horsemanship lessons with Brian Garcia. I feel incredibly fortunate to train and work weekly with Sarah Kramer as part of the Capstone team.
The Colleges I have visited are TCU, SMU, Auburn University, Oklahoma State University and UC-Davis with the ability to ride in front of Coach Dukes, Coach Kearns and Coach Meneely. All of the schools were beautiful and can’t wait to see more campuses and ride with more coaches in the following months.
