How it will work
When itâs available
Why is it good for my customers?
Customers can book with confidence, knowing that if something forces a change of plans they can get a refund from a trusted provider. In the aftermath of Covid, many customers want peace of mind, not least for larger purchases or when purchasing far in advance.
What do I need to do?
Nothing - our partner will deal with all of the admin, paperwork, claims, etc. The customer will receive an email from the insurance provider when they complete the transaction, and will reach out to them should they have any questions or need to file a claim. When a claim is processed, we will release the ticket back into the (re-)sale pool, if thatâs your preference.
How much it will cost customers?
In Europe, insurance is typically priced between 7 - 10% of the face value. We are still working on the exact details.
Who is your insurance partner?
We expect to work with Cover Genius, a leading embedded insurance provider who works with many customer across the events and travel industries (from AXS to Ryanair). They have a 4.7 âExcellentâ rating on Trustpilot and industry-leading NPS scores of 65+.
This has been tried before, and it didnât work out so wellâŚ
We are aware of âbooking protectionâ programs that have not panned out as advertised, leading to terrible customer experience and huge frustration for them and the creator.
We will only work with reputable partners that offer regulated insurance products, and work with some of the leading names in the ticketing industry. Weâre making sure our partners have stellar NPS / customer reviews and have a track record of reliably and quickly paying out legitimate claims.
