Who can attend?

We encourage and welcome students of all backgrounds to join us, including those from high and graduate schools!

How much does DubHacks cost?

Admission is completely free. Some of our sponsors will also provide free access to their software.

What if I don’t know how to code?

Interest in learning and working with technology is much more important than your current experience level. No experience is needed — you will be able to work with various mentors, interact with companies, and learn alongside fellow participants.

When do applications close?

Priority applications close September 21st, 2020 at 11:59PM (PDT).

Do I apply with a team?

No, applications are submitted and reviewed individually.

What if I don't finish my project in time?

You can submit your project to our low-code parallels to our 3 tracks, where there will be considered for special recognition, but will not be eligible for sponsor prizes.

How big are the teams?

You may work individually or on a team of no more than five people.

What if I don't have a team?

You will receive an invite to our Facebook community group and Slack workspace where you can introduce yourself and find potential team members.

Will there be swag?

Yes, more details to be announced. 😎

Are we allowed to build on past projects?

You cannot work, copy, or iterate on past projects. Using your own APIs or third-party APIs is allowed, as long as the project is completely new. Please refer to MLH’s policy for more information.

Are there are rules for attending DubHacks?

DubHacks values the importance of a safe and all-inclusive space. Anyone attending must adhere to our code of conduct.
