[email protected] am a product and marketing designer at Sweatcoin, based in London. The reason I'm interested in user experience design and design in general is people — I'm fascinated our inherent biases that affect our perception of reality and decision-making, which I use in my designs to guide people to desired outcomes. As a result, I am a very practical designer — I prefer to judge designs by the metrics that it aims to move. Moreover, I believe that "aesthetics", which is often associated with "good design" should not be used to measure design, as it is subjective and often diverts one's attention from the problems that a piece of design was meant to solve. That said, I do believe there are rules of visual perception that a designer must be able to navigate.
