Mira's Node Delegator Program was designed to grow our ecosystem by partnering with infrastructure providers like Hyperbolic Labs, IOnet, Exa Bits, Spheron, and Aethir Cloud. Across two drops totaling $600,000 in delegations, we successfully onboarded 14,000 Node Delegators.
Node delegators were crucial to Mira's early ecosystem—both for community building and network infrastructure. But our first registration attempt revealed a critical problem: our system couldn't handle the demand, and users panicked.
The real challenge wasn't just technical—it was emotional. designing for web3 is tricky business. the trust and support from the community alone could make or break us. With limited delegation capacity we knew many users would miss out.
So we had to solve for: how do you design something where half your users are going to be disappointed, and still retain their trust?

Progressive disclosure solved both the speed and server problem.
After the crash, we got a realistic idea of the expectations from the community. we reduced server load by spreading traffic across steps. this also helped users focus on one task at a time instead of getting overwhelmed.
check eligibility → wait for drop → pick amount ($30/$60/$100/$150) → choose partner → delegate.
Each step kept users locked in on one action. No distractions, no overthinking. This reduced server load while letting people move through fast when seconds counted.
