What is Scribing?

Work with the meeting host, to gain the meeting context and agenda, and document it for everyones alignment
Take notes and document the meeting - highlighting the key points, discussions and actions items

It is the fastest way to get useful and learn about the DAO!
As part of the scribing role:
- You’ll gain deep insight and context for the operations, and projects that go on in the DAO
- You’ll get to know the projects coordinators and many people across the DAO
Studies show that people who get active in the DAO fast, are happier and have a higher chance of becoming active community member

Increase in productivity and participations
- Clear notes allow contributors to quickly gain context of what is going on, and what are the action items to be executed
- Enables everyone to collaborate, participate and stay updated, regardless of their time zone or schedule
Written word lifetime > spoken word lifetime. Notes serve as a collective memory
- Allows to remember all the smart ideas, and things that were said during meetings
- Historical documentation of what happened in the DAO, and even more importantly why. Will allow us to learn from past actions, and understand why things are as they are (and re-evaluate if this is good)
