Solution: Clean the storage and cache for TWO Reader apps then re-open Reader
Steps:
1.Go to setting-> in the top search box type: reader to do the search-> Clean storage and cache for two apps(highlighted in red arrow) Start with the top app with the Daylight logo, then once finished move onto the lower app.
