THE MYTH —

Ah, Malpas — she was known for her quick mind. It is said that she viewed life like a game and she strived to be the victor everytime. Battle was no different than moving pieces across a chess board. She was from an ancient and Noble line, known for their intelligence. But alas her House was a product of its time and a daughter, no matter how competent, could not inherit her household. In Nephilim, she saw the opportunity to create a name for herself — outside of her family’s shadow. Her achievements would be her own, not something that would be given to the men in her family.

Malpas was an important figure in winning the war. Her mind proved detrimental in predicting the enemy’s moves. And when peace came, it was she who had the Great Library built, and for years she looked after it. Some say that Malpas left behind secrets within the rows of books. Of course, this is merely speculation.
