Monta Product/Engineering organisation

Our Product & Engineering department is split into Product Squads, each with individual goals and missions but an overall shared visions and milestones. All Squads are inter-dependent and needs to work cross-functional in order to reach their goals and expected outcome of the carried out activities.

Squad Structure

  1. Consumer Apps: All product activities directed towards the B2C segment. This is e.g. our Mobile app, Web apps (App clips/Instant app), car navigation integration and more
  2. Business Apps: All product activities directed towards the B2B and B2P segments. This is e.g. our Monta Portal, Hardware Portal, Partner API and more. ****
  3. Growth: All product activities with focus on growth in terms of new partners, site owners and individual charge point owners. The main areas of focus here is our Lead Generator and our Demo account & conversion flow. Other relevant focus areas are user tracking and data-understanding.
  4. CPI & Roaming: All product activities directed our Hardware integrations and Roaming and features like Load Balancing, SmartCharging, Firmware updates, OCPP & OCPI, Plug & Charge and more
  5. Core services: All product activities with focus on our core services throughout all squads. This is e.g. our Wallet service, Invoicing, Notifications, Identity, Activity log, payment methods, vehicle integration service and more
  6. Grid: All product activities with focus on the Grid. This is e.g. V2G, Demand Response, Tariffs, Datahub integration and more
  7. Platform: All product activities with focus on internal resources. This is e.g. Internal tools, Security, Server setup, Stability & Scalability and more

The squad team structure depends on the mission for the squad, and how user facing their mission is (thus how much UI/UX resources are needed)
