<aside> 🌃 Welcome to Crypto, Culture & Society Semester II: Our Digital Futures!
CCS is the web3 home for intellectually rich conversations, encompassing the areas where crypto intersects with not only technology and finance, but also philosophy, anthropology, policy, art, and more.
We are a diverse space within the ecosystem that encourages critical thinking, question posing, and research conducting, empowering our members to explore their interests inside an environment filled with curiosity, energy, and acceptance.
We couldn’t be more excited to have you with us in this collective journey.

Workshops are the cornerstone of CCS’s educational programming—each semester, we invite leading voices in and around web3 to speak about a specific web3 topic with our members in an instruction-style format, followed by a discussion-based Q&A. Our speakers have taught us about digital revolutions, cultural capital, decentralized media, and more; we are extremely humbled and excited to have them as a part of our community.
What is the format of workshops?
Where can I find the upcoming workshops?
New in Semester II, electives are a bottoms-up learning experience where selected members of the CCS community will organize and facilitate their own courses on topics of their interest. This semester, we are offering 4 electives:
Simulated Realities: Mythology to Metaverse (with Courtland Leer)
A Modern Renaissance: Tracing the Art Historical Origins of NFTs (with Tasha Kim)
DAOs & Technological Determinism (with Kassen Qian) Course Page
Web3 and Social Impact (with Nate VanNortwick) Course Page
Each elective has its own schedule, availability, and required commitment from learners. We’ll be announcing more details on electives soon!
Aside from workshops and electives, we will also have ongoing community events, some organized by us, and some organized by your fellow learners.
Stay up to date with these events via our Google Calendar and via the announcements bulletin in Discord.
Below are notes/resources from community events:
