Intro Script

Welcome to Episode 7 of the Ilkley Lockdown Podcast. I'm Ian Smith. In each episode, I'll be talking to a different person from in or around Ilkley, asking them about how the COVID-19 crisis has changed the world for them, and finding out how they are dealing with the challenges it has brought. In this episode, I talk to Brian Scott, who Is retired, and has lived in Ilkley with his wife for almost 30 years! They were over 7,000 miles away when COVID-19 hit. Brian talks about what it was like to come home to the lockdown, and shares some excellent advice from Captain (now Colonel) Tom Moore.

Here’s my conversation with Brian.

Outro Script

Thanks again to Brian for a great conversation. Look in the notes for the episode to find more information about some of what we discussed. Our next episode will be released in the next few days, and will be amazing - although as I’m flying a bit blind right now, not in a predictable way.

The best way not to miss out on the amazingness for the next and future episodes, is to download the Apple or Google podcasts app on your phone, search for Ilkley Lockdown, and hit the subscribe button.

Show Notes

<aside> 💡 The show notes include an paragraph on the episode content, mostly just taken from the intro above. The two links sections are different, as they need to be pasted in two places. One supports embedded links in the text, and the other requires the links to be explicit. The Twitter section is just the intro paragraph, and sometimes has to be shorter than the others.
