This is an information hub for leaders of Scouts and Cubs attending Aubrey Watzek Lodge. Nanitch lodge will not be operational for winter lodge season 2023-2024. As an alternative site Baldwin is open for winter camping.

New this year: Use of helmets are required by all participants using the sledding hill. The Council has purchased helmets for community use. Youth and Adults are welcome to bring their own helmets for use, ie: bicycle helmets, ski and snowboard helmets. Sanitation will be used in-between uses.

Aubrey Watzek Lodge

Lodge Service Days are opportunities for your units to gain early access to reservation system to ensure space for your preferred weekend. Woodcuts occur on the second weekend of September and the Lodge Clean-up Happens on the second weekend of October. To sign your unit up for any of these service days, please click the link below.

$$ Cost:

Cub Scouts: $10 person per day, payable at time of reservation. Lodge daytime capacity for this event is 200.

Scouts BSA: $20 per person, per day, payable at time of reservation. Aubrey Lodge overnight capacity is 120 total youth and adults.

Refunds:

Reduction of youth on the reservation will be allowed up to two weeks prior to the reservation date. 50% of the original reservation is non refundable. Within two weeks of the start date, no refunds will be made. The ONLY exception is when ODOT closes the highway. Winter weather conditions are not reason for refund.

Participation requirements :

Sno-Park Permits

Sno-Park permits are REQUIRED by Oregon ODOT and the parking areas are patrolled regularly by Oregon State Police. Plan on receiving a ticket if you do not have a Sno-Park permit properly displayed. Click here for more information.
