Purpose

The Android app team is building the Covid Watch Android app, using the Google/Apple Exposure Notification framework.

We are supporting our partners in Public Health with an app customized for their local population and public health needs, and with calibration and testing support prior to deployment to achieve greater success.

We strive to ensure our apps meet an extraordinary level of quality and security, and that they are true to the ideals of Covid Watch— to protect people's privacy while helping keep them safe by limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Current Status

As of 25 August 2020

As of last week the Arizona-targeted build of the Android app is publicly available in the Google Play Store!

Team is currently acting on feedback from the public release, which is initially being used by students and staff at University of Arizona, with broader rollout in AZ pending.

Preparation is also underway for the first international release of the app, expected in the next several weeks.
