<aside> 💡 We believe everyone could be doing their best work
... they just need to find it

This manifesto is the story behind why we are increasing the number of people doing their best work and how we are going about it.
It is written for anyone interested in the pursuit of their best work and how we can make it possible for more people around the world.

Our relationship with work is at the root of life’s meaning.
A working definition
Work is something that sits at the heart of all of our lives, and there is a scientific reason for this.
Physicist say the law of entropy means that all atoms in the universe are trying to distribute themselves evenly - unless something works against them.
Life in every form is the process of capturing free energy and putting it to work to live and grow.
From a physicist's point of view - anything that is living is working.
A history of work
Human life on earth has been powered by capturing energy in some way, whether it's from sunlight, oxygen and, most notably, food.
When we were hunter gatherers we spent most of our time searching for food, but all that changed 10,000 years ago when we started farming.
We now capture 250 times the energy our ancestors did and the way we expend this surplus energy is through work.
