What it is

In this hands-on Workshop you´ll learn about the building blocks to design a contemporary „operating system of learning“ for your organization. This workshop is addressing innovative approaches to corporate learning by providing insights into the practice of agile organizations and innovation learning.

The focus of the workshop is to get to know a framework to foster "innovative and learning-enhancing behavior“ in your organization. This framework describes in the interplay of personal and situational factors how a desired behavior of your employees can be supported. Four determinants are presented and concrete actions are defined from them: "individual ability", "personal will", "social acceptance" and "situational enablement".

A special focus in this workshop is on the transfer of concepts into practical interventions with the help of agile approaches and design thinking.

This condensed learning experience is tailored to executives from HR, employees from learning and development departments, learning professionals and learning experience designer who are in charge of designing corporate learning a.k.a. establishing a ‘learning culture’. This class helps them (re)activate their knowledge and gives an overview how vanguard firms organize and design their "Operating System of learning".

Why it is needed

It is hard to keep up with all the recent developments in corporate learning. Organizations are radically changing how collaboration is organized, how they manage performance and evaluate talent, what skills they develop and cultivate, how they approach recruitment and incentives, and what they do to facilitate learning. To meet these new requirements, L&D must update its approaches and self understanding – from delivering seminar catalogues to becoming designing and environment for self directed learning.

We assume that permanent change and adaptation of the organization will become, or already is the new normal. This means that it has to be permanently innovated - or in other words, learning takes place all the time. What could be more obvious than to apply the principles of agile working methods and innovation to this area? Personnel and organizational development become "agile lite" to meet this new requirements.
