CoderSchool is looking for an HR Lead that is really passionate about making CoderSchool a really, really great company to work at. We currently have roughly 30 full-time employees and nearly a hundred part-time. It’s a big job, and we’re looking for someone to support us to grow to double the size by the end of 2024. (A lot has to go right for that to happen.) Come join us as HR Lead, and eventually grow into being our Head of People.
You’ll be good for this job if:
- You’ve worked in HR at a high-growth tech company.
- You’re organized and process-driven. The processes you build can scale as the company grows. You document things carefully. You help the founder sleep peacefully at night, knowing we haven’t forgotten about anyone.
- You know how to collect and analyze metrics around our people and process. What gets measured gets managed.
- You can build, execute, and improve every HR process, such as our flexible WFH policy, our bi-annual performance review, and how we communicate to job candidates that don’t receive offers from us.
- You’re not afraid of trying new ideas. For example, our previous HR lead was responsible for implementing our “Idea Garden”, where we offer bonuses for innovative ideas on how to improve life for CoderSchool’s customers.
- You can build and lead a HR team. At our size, you’ll be a team of one, so you’ll need to be a generalist. As we grow, we’ll need to grow the team.
- You are comfortable writing and speaking in English. This role will be reporting directly to the CEO, who only speaks English. And he is hard to understand, he talks a bit fast.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding: helping us hire positions as necessary across all departments.
- Performance Management: Creating and executing fair, transparent policies around probation reviews, performance reviews, and 360 reviews.
- Compliance / Legal: Making sure our contracts and policies are in line with the latest regulations. At CoderSchool we do everything by the book.
- Workplace Policies: Making sure our workplace benefits (learning, hair color - yes we have a hair color benefit) and attendance policies (flexible WFH, unlimited sick leave, annual leave) are always up-to-date, adhered to, and effective.
- Org Design: Working with the CEO to make sure the org chart is working and we have the right people in the right places.
