By registering for this event, you agree to the following terms:

Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years or older. Minors may participate with parental consent, but prize payments will be made to a parent/guardian.
• Employees and immediate family members of Clerk, CodeTV, Sanity, and judging panel members are not eligible to win prizes.
• Participants must attend in person at Southern Pacific Brewing in San Francisco, CA on October 21, 2025.

Prize Structure

• The winning team will receive a cash prize of $25,000 USD.
• All other participants will receive custom keycaps and swag.
• Cash prize will be distributed evenly amongst members of the winning team.

Tax Obligations

• Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes. This includes federal income tax and California state income tax, which may total 40-50% of the prize value.
• Clerk will issue IRS Form 1099-MISC to prize recipients as required by law.
• Winners must complete and submit a W-9 form (US persons) or W-8BEN form (non-US persons) within 14 days of being notified. Failure to provide required tax documentation will result in prize forfeiture.
• Prize payment will be made only after all documentation is received and verified.

Judging & Winner Selection

• Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on criteria including: creativity, technical execution, presentation quality, and overall impact.
• Judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
