• You created a Notion account, joined the Civics Unplugged Community Notion workspace, and created your own Notion workspace
• You have downloaded Zoom
• You subscribed to the CU Fellowship Calendar
• You have created a LinkedIn account and added CU to your profile

Step 1: Set up your Discord account for the Civics Unplugged Community

<aside> 💡 Discord is a super popular chat platform that you can use on your phone or computer to send messages directly to someone, to a group of people, or to the entire Fellowship class.

Discord will be used to communicate between the Fellowship community as a whole. It will also be how you interface with Fellowship alumni!

Step 1.1: Create a Discord account for Civics Unplugged via the invite link below

• Paste the following link into your browser to join the Civics Unplugged Discord server:

  https://discord.civicsunplugged.org/

• Then, in the screen that says "Civics Unplugged," type in your preferred username, then click Continue.

• Enter your birthdate, you must be at least 13 years old to use Discord.
