Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and coordination of Industrial Biochar Plant projects. This is a critical role that involves cross-functional collaboration with feedstock providers, equipment vendors, and biochar developers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder industrial or energy projects and will thrive in a dynamic, on-the-ground environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the biochar plant project, from planning and design to commissioning and operational handover.
- Collaborate with and coordinate among stakeholders including:
- Feedstock providers to ensure timely availability and quality of biomass materials.
- Equipment manufacturers to manage procurement, installation, and commissioning schedules.
- Biochar product developers to align on product quality standards, storage, and downstream usage.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Drive on-site execution, manage contractors and vendors, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of issues.
- Prepare progress reports, documentation, and stakeholder updates at regular intervals.
- Support plant operational readiness and handover processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, renewable energy, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing infrastructure or industrial projects end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of biomass, gasification technologies, or circular economy principles is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% across India for site visits, audits, and stakeholder meetings.
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
