Welcome to the first workshop and code sprint of ETE Toolkit!

We (core developers) are blocking 5 days in our agendas to meet and write code together with a clear goal: preparing the release of ETE 4.0 by the end of 2021.

Everyone is invited to follow or contribute.

As in-person events are still complicated, we will host an event where up 10 core developers will meet in person, while other can contribute and follow progress remotely.

We are considering the following types of participation:

• core developers — we will be writing code in a common room, for one week.
• external contributors — people interested in developing plugins or specific features are welcome to join as remote contributors. This event is a great opportunity to get in contact with the core developers coordinate development.
• users — we are very much happy to receive feedback, feature ideas from regular ETE users interested in checking out 4.0 new features.

Pre-Hackathon meeting?

We should meet at least once before the hackathon to clarify goals and prepare work.
