What do I need before launching my round?
All you’ll need is your company legal name, address, and details about your round (i.e. SAFE, valuation cap, discount, target raise, etc.).
Does this work for a custom SAFE, Note, or priced equity?
Yes! We provide templated SAFEs, Notes, and equity agreements or you can upload your own.
How much does it cost?
It costs $50 to launch a round. See our Pricing Sheet for a full breakdown.
How long does it take to get my deal page ready?
<10 minutes.
Do my investors have to be accredited?
Not necessarily. Sometimes your friends, family, and business associates can invest into your company.

Does it matter where my investors are?
Not at all! We only permit rounds in Canadian Dollars and United States Dollars, so foreign investors may need to convert currencies prior to investing.
Can I edit my round after it’s posted?
Yes, you can easily edit most of your round details. Editing certain characteristics (i.e. the legal terms of your round) may require investors who committed pre-edit to confirm their investment again.
Where do my investors send money?
In order to help you close as fast and easy as possible, Capita provides full service transaction management - so your investors send their investment funds to an escrow account that we have for your round. You’ll receive notifications whenever someone invests in your round and you can track commitments from your round page. No more chasing cheques.
What if I want my money early?
In the middle of your round, you can request an “interim close” if you want your money early. This means we will prepare and release all the legal documents, and send you funds without fully closing your deal. There is a $500 additional fee for each “interim close.”
Do I have to raise from all my investors through my Capita deal page?
No. You are free to choose which investors would go through your raise process using Capita.
