It sets out the steps that we have taken and will continue to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.

At Calo, we are committed to upholding human rights and maintaining the highest ethical standards in all our operations. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in any form. Our supply chain includes packaging materials, raw food material, cooking ingredients, cleaning materials and products.

About Calo:

Calo is an international Food-Tech company headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Specializing in healthy meal plans with operations and manufacturing facilities in 8 different countries and thousands of employees worldwide, Calo intends to transform the healthy food industry.

Working in the F&B business necessitates a complex supply chain. We require supplies that are fresh, frequent and of a certain quality. This means we build close, trusting relationships with our suppliers, and ensure they are local and in proximity to our manufacturing facilities. While we recognize that certain sectors, such as agriculture, carry an increased risk of Modern Slavery, we make every effort to ensure our foods are sourced ethically and locally whenever possible. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and

to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Below are a number of our policies that support our commitment to combating modern slavery:

  1. Code of Ethics

Our Code of Ethics holds our employees to a high ethical standard and acknowledges their responsibility in identifying and reporting any ethical concerns and wrongdoings. This includes any instances relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. This code has been shared with all employees, and employees acknowledge their obligation to abide by it at all times during their tenure.

  1. Whistleblowing Policy

Our whistleblowing policy sets out anonymous reporting mechanisms to allow employees and users alike to report any ethical concerns and wrongdoings without fear of repercussions. These reports are taken very seriously, and we are committed to ensure that employees feel safe raising any concerns.

  1. Supplier Vetting

In the event we determine that a supplier’s culture and policies do not align with our Modern Slavery and Anti-Human trafficking policy, we will not hesitate to suggest any corrective actions or terminate contracts, as it is important to us that we only align ourselves with companies that share similar values by assessing suppliers and asking them to fill and sign a supplier due diligence form.

At Calo, we maintain internal and external reporting mechanisms, including our whistleblowing policy, which allows employees, suppliers, and external parties to report concerns related to human rights and modern slavery without fear of repercussions.

Calo is committed to continuously improving its processes and procedures that are linked to Modern Slavery and Anti-Human trafficking. As such, we will regularly review and enhance our policies, procedures, and due diligence processes to ensure our operations and supply chains are consistently acting ethically and legally.
