The mission of AmeriCorps California is threefold: to transform those who serve into lifelong civic leaders, to expand the capacity of nonprofit, local government agencies, and community organizations within our state, and to unite Californians through service.
Through AmeriCorps California, we support organizations by providing people power and funding to develop and expand local efforts in strengthening communities across the state, while focusing on uplifting our most vulnerable, underserved, and under-resourced individuals and communities.
Last year (2022-2023), through the service of nearly 5,900 individuals who stepped up to serve their communities, AmeriCorps California made remarkable progress throughout the state, providing vital support and assistance in environmental stewardship, education, healthy futures, resource access, disaster services, and food security.
