On August 24th, 2021, we organized our first in-person Ideator event. For this edition, we gathered a group of founders and market experts in the PropTech and real estate space to spark as many meaningful connections and insights by organizing an unconference.
Key session learnings and takeaways
- PropTech has many aspects and angles of attack, from insurance products to experience-based community challenges.
- Combining PropTech with FinTech challenges could be a fruitful marketplace to dive into, but it seems to need more research or deep dives.
- Because WFH means working less from offices, both the living and the work experience are having a paradigm shift. One would expect this at the beginning of the pandemic, but it seemingly is now because everybody is trying to figure out how this will work. This breeds opportunities for all kinds of online and hybrid solutions and could fix challenges the office workforce has struggled with for decades.
- There's a noticeable difference in SMB and enterprise solutions in PropTech mainly because of the bigger supply chain in the hierarchy the real estate business traditionally has. And on the flip side, it seems that owners/operators are an upcoming market to service.
