Users may experience issues when attempting to log in to Rumpus through a game. There are a large number of things that can go wrong during login, and each one has an error code associated with it. Users will see error codes displayed if their login fails.

Color Coding

Red means that there is something wrong with our code, and the game development team needs to be alerted.

Yellow means there is probably an issue on the user's side that we can't do anything about, but we may be able to provide guidance on a solution on their end.

Green means it's just a temporary issue that will resolve itself (like connection problems). Users seeing these errors should try again later.

Purple means either the user is on an unlicensed copy of the game, or there is a temporary issue with the platform's licensing servers that will resolve itself in time. Users getting these errors should make sure that they are on licensed copies of the game, and that they are logged into the corresponding store account with which they bought the game.

All Rumpus Login Error Codes

  1. We were unable to retrieve your App Store license.

  2. We were unable to retrieve your Google Play license.

  3. There was an error when checking your Google Play license. Something went wrong with our licensing program.

  4. Our license check got back an empty license string, which is an error. Reboot and ensure you are logged in to Google Play on the device.

  5. We were unable to retrieve your Epic Games license.

  6. This is a programming error that means we haven't properly set up the game to handle licensing on that platform. If you see this, we've made a huge mistake.

  7. The license check timed out. This means the licensing system was unable to communicate with the licensing server (like Google Play, App Store, etc). This could mean either your are on a pirated copy, there is some kind of temporary connection issue with the store, or your login credentials were entered incorrectly.

  8. There was an unidentified failure when attempting to log in to Google Play Game Services.

  9. Google Play Game Services login timed out. This is likely due to connectivity issues.

  10. There was an unidentified failure when attempting to sign in with Apple.

  11. Sign In with Apple timed out. This is likely due to connectivity issues.

  12. You didn't select any Nintendo accounts when attempting to sign in using the Nintendo sign-in option. Select a Nintendo account with which to log in.
